As a co-founder of Bade Stageberg Cox Architecture, Tim brings years of experience working on innovative projects around the world to shape thoughtful designs that are grounded in research and sensitivity to place. His work is driven by a belief in architecture’s ability to meaningfully engage people with the physical and social environments around them. With a deep understanding of tectonics and a rigorous approach to the craft of making, Tim explores how conceptual ideas can operate at every level of a building—from overall structure to localized details. He is committed to sustainable design and the poetic integration of architecture with local culture, climate, and community, always striving to create buildings that enrich the lives of those who use them.
Tim received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Arizona State University and a Master's Degree in Architecture from Columbia University, where he was the recipient of the Charles McKim Prize for Excellence in Design. Tim spent 13 formative years at Steven Holl Architects, during which time he was promoted to partner and was responsible for a number of award-winning buildings.
Tim has taught graduate architecture programs at Parsons School of Design and Cornell University, and served as a guest juror at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design and the University of Toronto.

At BSC, Katia brings a rich, cross-cultural perspective shaped by her upbringing on the Texas border. Katia holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Architecture from the Pratt Institute, where she cultivated a penchant for experimenting with diverse media and methods. With a background grounded in residential design, she has shaped projects ranging from renovations and additions to new builds for single-family residences and apartments across Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. Katia’s experience spans from offices in Austin to high-end residential firms in Midtown Manhattan. Driven by a rigor for modeling and physical craft, her creativity remains rooted in the process of making. Katia can often be found cocooned in a state of tinkering, rarely giving her 3D printer a rest as she explores the intersection of small-scale objects and large-scale architectural vision.
